My Professional experience includes 25 years in the information systems and telecommunications industries in various technical, marketing and sales positions. Recently retired I now pursue art by painting, drawing and photographing people, places and abstract ideas. As a relatively new Toastmaster I enjoy speech writing and presenting those ideas which provides me with another avenue to express myself creatively.
Hi Everyone -
I've been a member of the North Shore Badgers since May, 2014. I am currently the VP Education for North Shore Badgers and I am also serving as Area Director for District 35 Area D1.
I am the Senior Archivist for Harley-Davidson Motor Company Archives and Heritage Services. I love having a safe environment in which to develop my communication and leadership skills. I'm also a huge hockey fan and have traveled in the U.S. and Canada to attend games at all skill levels.
I'm a local business owner looking to constantly improve myself. Speaking with customers and friends has always come naturally to me but I never felt confident in front of groups of people. Since joining the North Shore Badgers, I've seen a large improvement in my speaking ability and confidence in front of groups.
I joined Toastmasters in June, 2009. From the first meeting I visited, I could see that participating and practicing in these meetings prompted growth in self confidence and improvement in all kinds of speaking and leadership skills. I quickly became very active, and was excited to eventually earn my Distinguished Toastmaster award (DTM) in April of 2016.

My interests are reading, biking, running, tennis, fencing, and sometimes video games. Hopefully public speaking will be on that list someday.
